Upload and share gallery videos

Add films to a client gallery, follow processing, preview or remove them, and control how clients watch and download them.

Videos live alongside the photos in a gallery, but have their own Videos tab. Ready videos appear as Films on the client gallery, where clients can stream them without an account.

Upload videos

  1. Open a gallery and select Videos in the left rail.
  2. Select Add videos and choose one or more video files. You can also drag videos, or a folder containing them, onto the page.
  3. Leave the page open while each file moves through queued, uploading, and processing. Two videos upload at a time; the rest wait in the queue.

Fotarie reads each film’s duration before uploading, sends it securely for processing, and makes it visible to clients only when it is ready. Non-video files in a dropped folder are skipped and can be added from the Photos tab instead.

Know your plan limits

  • Free includes 10 minutes of video at up to 1080p.
  • Basic includes 30 minutes of video at up to 1080p.
  • Plus includes 60 minutes of video at up to 1080p.
  • Pro includes 120 minutes of video at up to 4K.

The duration allowance is shared by every gallery in your organization. Check Settings, Organization, Billing for the Video usage meter and your maximum resolution. Fotarie caps the processed playback and MP4 at that resolution; uploading a higher-resolution source does not raise the plan limit.

The uploader reserves the duration it reads from the file, then verifies it during processing. If the verified duration would put the organization over its allowance, the video fails and the reservation is released.

Preview, check, or delete a video

  • Select the play button on a ready video to preview it privately.
  • If a video remains on Waiting for upload or Processing, use Check status to ask for the latest result.
  • A ready film can still show MP4 processing while its downloadable copy is prepared. Clients can play it first; wait for Ready before expecting its MP4 download to work.
  • Use Delete video to remove the film and free its duration from your plan allowance. Deletion cannot be undone.

Share films with clients

Publish and share the gallery normally. Ready films appear in a Films row above the photos. A client selects Play to stream one, then Download MP4 in the player when downloads are available.

Download protection applies to videos too: a client must enter the gallery’s Download PIN before saving an MP4. Each video download uses one unit of the gallery’s download allowance and appears in Activity.
