Upload photos
- Open the gallery and stay on the Photos tab.
- Use the Upload to dropdown to pick where the photos should land — Uncategorized, or one of your sets. You can move them later.
- Select Choose files, or drag photos straight onto the page. Dropping a folder works too; Fotarie reads through it.
Photos appear in the grid immediately and finish processing in the background. A photo is not visible to your client until it is ready.
- Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG and WebP.
- Maximum 100 MB per photo.
- Large uploads are sent in batches, so you can leave the tab open and let it work.
If a photo fails, it shows an error in the grid. Select it and use Retry to process it again. If it keeps failing, the file itself is usually the problem — re-export it and upload it again.
Group photos into sets
Sets are the tabs your client moves between — “Ceremony”, “Portraits”, “Reception”. Anything you do not file into a set stays under Uncategorized.
- In the left rail under PHOTO SETS, select Add set and give it a name.
- Select the photos you want to move. Use the Select all checkbox to take everything in the current view.
- Select Move to set and choose the destination — or Add set if it does not exist yet.
Use the menu beside a set to Rename set or Delete set. Deleting a set does not delete photos — they return to Uncategorized.
Choose the cover photo
- Select exactly one photo in the grid.
- Select the cover icon in the action bar that appears.
The cover is the first thing your client sees. You can change how it is laid out on the Design tab.
Turn on Show file details if you need to see filenames, file sizes, and processing status while you work.
