Control who can see a gallery

Add a password, require a PIN before downloads, cap the total downloads, watermark previews, or close access on a date.

Open the gallery, select Share, and find the Gallery access card. Everything below lives under Access protection. Make your changes, then select Save access settings.

Password protection

Turn this on to require a password before anyone can view the gallery, then enter the password. Your client sees a lock screen instead of the photos until they enter it.

When a password is already set, the field reads New password and you can leave it blank to keep the current one. You can reveal or copy an existing password from the Password column on the Galleries list.

Download protection

This lets clients browse freely but asks for a Download PIN before anything can be downloaded. Useful when you want the gallery to be easy to share around the family but still want to hold back the files.

Download limit

Turn on Download limit and set Total downloads allowed to cap how much can be taken from the gallery. The helper text under the field tells you how many have been used so far.

A full-gallery ZIP counts once per photo, not once overall. Raise the number to grant more, or turn the limit off for unlimited.

Watermark previews

Turn this on to overlay text on the photos in the gallery. Set Watermark copy — it defaults to your studio name — and choose a Position from the nine-point grid.

Watermarks apply to previews only. What your client downloads is clean. Custom watermark copy and position are available on Basic, Plus, and Pro; on Free the watermark uses your studio name in the default position.

Close access on a date

  1. Open the gallery and select Settings in the left rail.
  2. Under Client access, turn on Expire gallery.
  3. Choose an Expiration date, and a Time (optional) if you need something other than 11:59 PM in your timezone.
  4. Select Save changes.

An expired gallery shows your client an unavailable message. Your photos are untouched — change the date and publish again to restore access.
