Website images come from two places. Media-library images can be reused in Hero and Image page blocks. Photos uploaded directly to a portfolio belong only to that portfolio. Both kinds count towards the same 100-image website allowance.
Add an image to the media library
- Open Website, select Pages, then Media.
- Select Add image and choose a file. The media library accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and HEIC or HEIF, up to 25 MB per image.
- Wait for the image to finish processing. Select its thumbnail to open a larger preview.
You can also upload one image from the Image field while editing a Hero or Image block. To reuse an image, open that field and select a ready file by name from the media library. Processing images cannot be selected yet.
Upload photos to a portfolio
- Select Pages, then Portfolios, and open an upload-backed portfolio.
- Select Add photos and choose one or more files in the same supported formats, up to 25 MB each.
- Wait for processing, then select a thumbnail to preview it or use the photo icon to make it the portfolio cover.
Media-library and uploaded portfolio images share the 100-image allowance. Photos shown by a linked client gallery stay in that gallery instead of being uploaded again.
Retry an image
If a file fails before an asset is created, choose that file again to retry. If an asset remains on Waiting for upload, use Retry upload confirmation. If it shows Errored, use Retry processing. These controls are available in Media, in an upload-backed portfolio, and beside retryable images in a page block’s image picker.
Delete an image safely
Use Delete image in Media or Delete portfolio photo inside a portfolio. Deleting an upload-backed portfolio also deletes the photos that belong to it; unlinking a client-gallery portfolio leaves the gallery and its photos untouched.
A media-library image cannot be deleted while a draft page still uses it. Remove it from every page block first. If it is part of the published website, publish the website without that image before deleting it so the live site never points at a missing file.
