Your photographer sent you a link. That is everything you need — there is no account to create, no password to invent, and nothing to install. The link works on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Open the gallery
Select the link. If your photographer protected the gallery, you will see a lock screen: enter the gallery password they gave you and select View gallery.
If the password does not work, check it with your photographer. Only they can reset it — Fotarie support cannot let you into someone else’s gallery.
Look around
Photos may be grouped into sets — the tabs near the top, such as “Ceremony” or “Portraits”. Select any photo to open it larger, then use the arrows to move through the gallery.
Download one photo
- Select the photo to open it.
- Select the download icon.
- If you are offered a choice, pick Original for the full-quality file, or Web size for a smaller file that is quicker to send and fine for social media.
Download everything
Select the download icon in the toolbar above the photos to get the whole gallery as a single ZIP file. Large galleries take a little while to prepare, so leave the tab open until it starts.
On a phone, a large ZIP can be awkward to open. If you only need a few photos, downloading them one at a time is usually easier.
If you are asked for a PIN
Some photographers let you browse freely but ask for a Download PIN before anything can be saved. Enter the PIN they gave you and select Continue. It is not the same as the gallery password.
If downloads have run out
Your photographer can cap how many downloads a gallery allows. If you see that no downloads remain, ask them to raise the limit.
And if the gallery says it is unavailable, it has most likely expired. Ask your photographer to reopen it.
